MPNA General Meeting: Note Location Change

  • January 04, 2017
  • 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Asia Society, 1370 Southmore

Please join us at 6 pm, Asia Society Texas Center, 1370 Southmore Blvd.  The MPNA January 4 meeting will launch 2017 with two important topics:

  1. Transient Population:  City officials will provide a brief summary of the significant and comprehensive efforts towards resolving the problematic transient population living in our community and the associated issues. This is ongoing work, focused on a long term and sustainable solution.  Mayor Turner and his team are working to update this strategy as data are collected and analyzed to determine effective approaches.  The updated strategy will be announced later in January, at which time we’ll invite the team back for an update. This is a serious concern to all who live, work and play here.            *Please see MPNA News regarding MP Super Neighborhood's involvement with the City of Houston to address the issues of homelessness.

  2. Hermann Park Conservancy Master Plan:  Doreen Stoller will present the team findings with an opportunity for MPNA comment.  Come see what’s planned for Hermann Park and to better understand the mobility and parking connections that the Hermann Park Conservancy and the Master Plan consulting team have crafted. Implementation will require more detailed study but this plan will guide and help prioritize execution of the update to an even more fabulous Hermann Park over the next 20 years.
